Do you have vines growing in your trees? Have you noticed vines overwhelming trees in our parks and public spaces? Would you like to make a difference?
If you answered yes, please join us for a hands-on workshop to learn techniques for removing invasive vines from trees on Monday, May 18, from 5:30–7:30pm at the Third Haven Friends Meeting in Easton. After a short indoor presentation, we will head outside for a field demonstration, followed by some hands-on practice cutting a variety of vines, including English Ivy and porcelain berry. Dinner will be provided.
Gloves and tools are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own loppers or gloves if you wish. Please leave power tools at home! Participants should also dress for success: wear long sleeves, long pants and sturdy shoes. We will be walking on uneven terrain.
