Be a River Friendly Boater!

We know you love to spend time on our rivers and creeks, and so do we! That’s why ShoreRivers works hard to make thriving waterways across Maryland’s Eastern Shore a reality.

Four Easy Steps You Can Take

  1. Pump, don’t dump! Use a pumpout station or our pumpout boat: Captain John Carlsson 410-829-4352 or VHF Channel 9

  2. Before you dive in, check SwimGuide or our website for local water quality and bacteria conditions.

  3. For a healthy Bay, let grasses stay! Trim your motor and don’t anchor out where you see underwater grasses.

  4. If you see something, say something! Report pollution to your local Riverkeeper at info@shorerivers.org or 443.385.0511.
