As Watershed Scientist, Becky provides scientific support for the Riverkeeper department's policy and advocacy initiatives. She plays a key role in identifying research needs, designing and conducting scientific studies, and translating findings into actionable policy and restoration recommendations. She also manages and coordinates the scientific logistics of multiple water quality monitoring programs across Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Becky developed her love of water during childhood summer vacations to the Jersey Shore. She holds a Master of Science in Oceanography from Florida Institute of Technology, and Bachelor of Science degrees in Marine Science and Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from East Stroudsburg University.

Prior to joining the ShoreRivers’ team in 2025, Becky held positions with the National Marine Fisheries Service and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Her previous roles focused on policy-based scientific research, aquatic habitat conservation and restoration, and environmental regulatory reviews in the Chesapeake Bay and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Becky enjoys life in Easton with her husband, two daughters, and their rescue dog, Murphy.
