The Langford Creek Watershed

The Langford Watershed Alliance (LWA) is a partnership of local organizations working to improve water quality, ecological health, and community quality of life in the Langford Creek watershed (if you are unsure of the watershed extent, here is a watershed boundary map where you can search your address). This partnership includes Washington College, ShoreRivers, Kent Soil and Water Conservation District, Eastern Shore Land Conservancy, the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, and members of the Langford Creek community.

The LWA wants to hear from you about the issues facing your communities, like stormwater flooding, shoreline erosion, failing septic systems, and elevated levels of bacteria in the water. To do so, the LWA will be hosting a Town Hall meeting to hear from the community, share resources, and explore solutions on Monday, October 19, from 5:30-7:30 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Refreshments will be provided and we can provide childcare upon request. Please register here and note any accommodations/childcare needs.
