MAKE RIVER-friendly CHOICES

Years of scientific monitoring show that most of the pollution in our waters come from within our watershed. Poorly managed farms, failing septic systems, and yard fertilizer all contribute to poor water quality.

Contact us to learn about river-friendly practices, including:

  • reduce or eliminate fertilizer and pesticide use

  • clean-up pet waste

  • install rain gardens and bioretention areas

  • reduce lawn area by planting native trees and shrubs
