Education and Volunteer Coordinator
As an Eastern Shore native, Rebecca grew up in Easton and spent her childhood outdoors and on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. She graduated from Tulane University in 2017 with a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a focus in conservation biology. Later that year, Rebecca joined Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy (now ShoreRivers) as the 2017-2018 Chesapeake Conservation Corps Volunteer. When her Corp year was completed, she was hired by ShoreRivers in 2018 as Education and Volunteer Coordinator.
As Education and Volunteer Coordinator, Rebecca acts as a primary educator for ShoreRivers’ K-12 Students for Streams and Sturgeon Discovery education programs. She also manages many of the organization’s volunteer programs, including Creekwatchers, SAV monitoring, and Marylanders Grow Oysters (MGO).
