PumpOut Boat

In 2016, one of the predecessors of ShoreRivers, partnering with the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM), brought the first ever pump-out boat to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, preventing more than 8,500 gallons of waste from entering the Miles and Wye Rivers by pumping it from nearly 350 boats in the first year of operation alone.

The boat provides service in the busy St. Michaels harbor and on the Miles and Wye Rivers. With your help, it is estimated this boat will pump out between 15-20,000 gallons of concentrated marine waste annually.

CBMM donates free dockage, storage, and use of their land-based pump-out station to off-load the waste from the pump-out boat which is transferred to the updated St. Michaels Wastewater Treatment Plant.
