Paddle or motor to a great blue heron rookery, where you can watch parents deliver food to chicks in over 50 nests high in the pines. This unique experience will be followed by cocktails and dinner under the stars.

See for yourself what large-scale agricultural restoration looks like with a tour of Chip and Sally Akridge’s farm on the Wye River, followed by dinner for 10 guests at their house. Mother Nature fills all the spaces humankind leaves free... Join Chip and Sally Akridge for an afternoon and gloaming on their "piece of paradise” in Talbot County to walk, observe, and cohabit with a peaceable kingdom. Finish off the experience with a supper “off the place” in their cabin by Lake Duvall. 10 people; Sunday, December 8 from 3:30-7 pm.

“Rising Waters” Sculpture by Ron Walker
Oxford artist Ron Walker created this sculptural piece as part of an allegorical series of multi-media reminders of the long-term effects of climate change on the Chesapeake Bay. His work of plate glass, epoxy resin and abandoned everyday artifacts, like a bicycle and a trashcan, convey an unsettling and deceptively calm sense of permanence for a soon-to-be vanished landscape.
